Our Philosophy
At Eco (Wonder) School, an in-home daycare, we believe that children grow, learn, and thrive by following their own unique style of discovery. We support children with a holistic approach to child development, encouraging them to make sense of the world, understand who they are, and form meaningful relationships with others through play and exploration of the natural environment. Our Inspiration
Eco (Wonder) School draws inspiration from Reggio Emilia pedagogy, emphasizing a child-centered learning environment. We utilize child-directed experiential learning with a relationship-driven focus. Additionally, we incorporate foundational principles of Permaculture in both our indoor and garden classrooms. By employing Permaculture principles, we recognize the importance of living harmoniously with each other and the natural environment, aligning with our nature-based childcare program.
Our Community
Together, these two philosophies create Eco (Wonder) School—a place where children are encouraged and invited to express and employ their ideas respectfully and responsibly, within a community that recognizes the interconnectedness of all things and values relationships.
